Cholesterol Levels For Women

A recent study has revealed that nearly 44% of men suffering from diabetes have their cholesterol levels in control as compared to women, whose ratio was just 38%. On the other hand, 52-56% of men suffered from cardiac attack even they had their cholesterol content under control, where the ratio of women was 43-47 %. Thus, we see that women are more at a risk of getting a heart attack or higher cholesterol levels in their body. This is because most of the women are unaware of what exactly cholesterol ratio is and what should be there exact numbers. They are also not aware of their unhealthy diet plan and there consequences in near future. In this article we will be discussing some of the levels of cholesterol.

Cholesterol And Women:

Usually the cholesterol level in women’s body keeps fluctuating. This happens because the levels of cholesterol are guided by the estrogen level in the women’s body. Actually higher level odf estrogen increases the level of HDL (good cholesterol) in the body and reduces the amount of LDL (bad cholesterol) and vice-vesa.
As the levels of estrogen are high in puberty stage and lowers down after menopause, so the women are more likely to suffer from cardio related diseases in the later part of their life as compared when they are young.
