  • Start eating healthy food with immediate effect. Prepare your food in olive oil, peanut oil which is beneficial for your heart as they carry less cholesterol.
  • Include whole grains like whole grain flour, whole grain pasta etc. which will give your body all the required nutrition without adding cholesterol to it.
  • Make sure that you are eating fruits and vegetables in sufficient amount as they will reduce your bad cholesterol greatly.
  • Also the intake of omega 3 food like fishes, barley etc. reduces your LDL numbers greatly.
  • Avoid eating fatty food items like cookies, chocolates etc. Also reduce the intake of food items like egg yolks, red meat etc. which carry cholesterol in huge amount.
  • Apart from improving your eating, the other thing which is important is that you exercise regularly. Make sure that you exercise for at least 30 -60 minutes in a day. You can do brisk walk, swim for some time, ride your cycle etc.
  • Avoid the intake of alcohol as increases the LDL content greatly. Similarly, also avoid smoking, because it is also harmful for your health.
  • Intake of green tea can be of great help as it helps in reducing the bad cholesterol and helps in increasing the levels of good cholesterol in the body.
