    A dose of omega 3 fish oil supplement containing 2 – 4 grams of EPA and DHA is recommended.

  • There are side effects associated with omega 3 fish oil supplements. You can experience fish breath when you burp.
  • Other side effects include flatulence, bloating, diarrhea and belching.
  • Other medications like anti-inflammatories and blood thinning medicines when taken along with omega 3 fish oil supplements cause additional problems.

Precautions

  • Always seek a physician’s advice before taking omega 3 fish oil supplements.
  • These are not good for pregnant women and people with fish allergies.
  • Do not take more than the dose recommended as it leads to bleeding complications.
