  • Alcohol urges the liver to produce or make more triglycerides and also light drinking can increase triglyceride levels.
  • Alcohol reduces the enzyme production which helps in breaking down triglycerides.
  • Fatty liver is from the result of large triglyceride deposits formed in the liver. It may either be permanent or temporary. This condition is not very harmful, but it can indicate a serious problem.
  • When the condition is severe, it results in enlargement of the liver to over three times than its normal size and may become more tender and painful. Fatty liver is commonly caused due to alcoholism. Excess intake of alcohol interferes with the normal functioning of the liver.

  • Some researchers suggested that drinking red wine may help to prevent heart disease. However, these results are not conclusive, it is lifestyle of the people which improves the condition rather than consuming red wine.
  • If you want to improve the condition by consuming red wine, then drink the wine made with organic grapes. But, make sure you don’t consume large amounts of wine, as it may increase insulin levels and produce negative impact on your health.
