  • Yogasanas like shalabhansan, vajrasana, padmasana and ardhamatsyaendra are helpful to lower blood cholesterol.
  • Drinking coriander water also helps to lower the cholesterol in the blood as it stimulates the kidneys.
  • Soy compounds or soy products known as isoflavones helps to regulate the blood cholesterol levels.
  • Sunflower seeds also regulate the blood cholesterol levels and it is a good herbal remedy for cholesterol.
  • Exercise on a regular basis also helps to lower the bad cholesterol levels and increases the levels of good cholesterol.
  • One of the good cholesterol remedy can be coriander seeds. Add 2 table spoons of coriander seeds to 1 glass of water and boil it. Let it cool for sometime, then strain it. Cholesterol level can be reduced by this mixture thrice a day.
  • Foods that are rich in saturated fats and cholesterol like organ meats, eggs, cheese, beef, whole milk, vegetable oils and butter should be taken less. This diet is very useful for cholesterol.
  • Almonds and walnuts are also very effective in lowering cholesterol and it acts as a natural cholesterol remedy.

  • Cholesterol can be reduced effectively by taking diet which contains high amounts of choline, vitamin B6 and inositol. Yeasts and wheat germs are also rich sources.
  • Substance of fatty food such as lecithin also helps to lower cholesterol levels. Vegetable oils, soybeans, unpasteurized milk, whole grain cereals and egg yolk are rich in lecithin. This can be useful treatment for cholesterol.
  • Add 10 cinnamon stick pieces to 5 cups of water and boil. Then, add 1 spoon of honey to it and drink when it is hot. This can effectively reduce cholesterol level.
