Apple Cider Vinegar for Cholesterol

Apple cider vinegar can control the bad cholesterol level and lower the overall cholesterol levels. Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance which is essential for the body to function normally. There are two different types of cholesterol viz: Good cholesterol (HDL) and Bad cholesterol (LDL). Good cholesterol helps to remove the bad cholesterol and prevents it from clogging the arteries.

Apple pectin and acetic acid are the main components of apple cider vinegar, which consists of more than 50 amino acids and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, beta-carotene, vitamins and calcium. Apple cider vinegar liquefies fat, cholesterol, arterial, mucus and joint deposits that can cause intense health problems. Therefore, when it comes to remedies for high cholesterol, apple cider vinegar has become one of the most effective treatments.

How to use apple cider vinegar for high cholesterol

  • Add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water, with a bit of honey for flavor and drink everyday. This will help to lower your high cholesterol levels.
  • While cooking, you can add apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar. This will make no difference in flavor or taste.
